OSYB holds tryouts to aid us in having evenly-matched teams in the older divisions. Tryouts are held ONLY for Pinto (7-8), Mustang (9-10), Bronco (11-12) and Pony (13-14) divisions.

Tryouts are for assessment purposes ONLY. ALL players will have the opportunity to play baseball. Everyone will be placed on a team.

Players under the age of 7 do NOT need to try out – unless your child plans to play in the coach-pitch Pinto Division instead of T-ball in the Shetland Division.

OSYB is one of the few leagues in the area that provides youth baseball during the fall. So take advantage of the cooler weather and join us for a great season this fall. Practices begin in September with games starting the week of September 20th and ending the week of November 15th. Games are played at Pima Elementary School in Scottsdale. Each player receives a jersey, cap and end of season award.

* Green Privacy Screen

Our outfield fences on could use some sprucing up. If you have access to privacy screening – even previously used screens from a construction site, for instance – please let us know.

* Helping Hands with Field Maintenance

There are a number of projects which would only require an hour’s time and effort – or even less! – that would greatly improve the baseball experience for our players. If you have the time and energy, please contact us.
